The Czech Republic and Homosexuality

Homosexuality in the Czech republic is higher than in most places worldwide. Gays in the Czech republic also are afforded more rights than anywhere else in the world. Gay marriage has become legalized nation wide as of 2006 and gay marriages are afforded the same benefits and rights that straight married couples are given.

Acceptance of Gay Culture

The Czech Republic is one of the first countries to fully accept gay culture and integrate it into their way of life. Gay marriage is now an acceptable form of matrimony and is afforded the same rights that other marriages are. Gay married couples are allowed to file taxes jointly, hold joint bank accounts and even adopt children. No other society in the world is more open to the gay culture than the Czech Republic.

Gay Entertainment

In Prague, and other cities around the Czech Republic, there are numerous amounts of activities to partake in if you are a gay or lesbian person. Clubs and bars are great mediums for meeting other gay and lesbian people in a highly social environment. Hotels geared towards gays is also a common theme in the Czech republic and many businesses catering specifically to gays are common and easily found.
